Moose Beds began in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, when Doug built his first Lodgepole Pine bed for his young daughter. The year was 1989 and since that time Doug has created custom beds, end and coffee tables, as well as other custom pieces. These handcrafted pieces of furniture can be found in states from New York to California, Montana to New Mexico.
Doug spent his career working for the National Park Service. Now retired in Granby, Colorado, Doug builds custom Lodgepole Pine furniture one piece at a time. Logs can be clean peeled or skip peeled leaving a contrasting color and customers choose the final color (stain) and sealant.
Doug will build furniture of his design or take a customer’s ideas and make that one of a kind.
